Is the USA a “Christian nation”? Depends on what you mean by that, I suppose. But its origin in Judeo-Christian principles is clear, based on founding documents, acts of congress and presidents, and the writings of the founders. The recognition and celebration of that heritage has been nearly universal among US national leaders until very recent times. You can decide if that was a good thing, or a bad thing, but you can’t pretend it is a non-thing.

Yes, our nation is a Christian nation based on Christian values. Are the people Christian? For the most part, no. Is the government Christian? No. Is the President Christian, No.
Our nation, as we know it, can not function without Christian values. Our “rights” come from God not man. In my opinion, this nation will not exist in 50 years. The unalienable rights we hold so dear will be gone. And, quite possibly, one of Obama’s grandsons will be our new “President for lifeâ€.

We’ll have traded hope and change for soap and mange.
Don’t look for deep meaning, though there may be some. I just liked the zing.
I haven’t completely lost hope. There is still a chance for a pendulum swing. But it will cost something.
