I think these videos are so great that I just want to keep them up front and center, so I may promote them occasionally. Here they are again!
This is the campaign to defeat Obama, in a nutshell.
I watched them all. Obama supporters may complain about interpretations, but these videos do not have a factual error I can see. They’re quite concise, delivered engagingly, and make their point very clearly.
The McCain campaign should take a lesson from these people.

These are the best videos I’ve seen. They are easy to watch, understand and they offend no one.

McCain should just run these. I spent 25 years guiding advertising agencies and determining the best commercials to run to sell products and was pretty good at it. These are better than most of the stuff McCain is running right now. Short and to the point is always the best way to communicate.

Interesting points, but when they come from a single Demographic a lot of the impact is lost. These could never be run as nationwide commercials as they would not appeal to the full gamut of the voting public.

I suppose you’re commenting on the fact that the presenters are young, and white. But consider: it is exactly THAT demographic where there is any chance to change minds. 97% of African-Americans will vote for Obama, and would if he was a blue dog. Middle aged voters and older are likely to be more set in their decision and orientations.
Young, white, new voters are a demographic that may have been attracted into paying attention by Obama’s candidacy, but who have no long track record of political commitments, so that there is a chance to reach them and educate them.
I think that’s the target for these videos, and that they succeed as well as anything could in making the necessary points.

I actually think that these ads are quite good. Wrongheaded (and often just plain wrong), but well done. And they are much better than most of the McCain ads that the campaign has been running.
